I'd always buy it on Steam. Where it's cheaper, obviously. It's the exact same game but you pay less. Pretty sure it's cheaper on Epic normally, unless there's a discount. Epic made a 60 percent discount to rdr2 some time ago, but it's gone now. Well, they're both 50% off on Epic and Steam
Try to run the game from the GeForce list of enhanced games. By doing this the effing rockstar launcher opens and the game runs, FINALLY. IDK what is wrong with the game, or the launcher but its a shame that such a good tittle has this punny flaws. #11.
In Steam click on "add a non steam game". Click browse and search for this in your epic games folder, mine is: "D:\Epic Games\Epic Games\Launcher\Portal\Binaries\Win64\EpicGamesLauncher.exe " and click add selected program. Find the program you added in your steam library and right click properties.

I've purchased the Red dead Redemption ultimate edition on friday (20/03/2020) in STEAM store, have, since then, been trying to RUN THE GAME, but I can't even LAUNCH it, because it keeps giving errors on launch. 1- When I try to launch it trough steam, it simply opens and closes the the rockstar launcher, by itself.

Click into that and you'll see a Red Dead Redemption 2 folder. Just rename it and put an x in front of what it currently says. Edit: It will start the game as if you were playing for the first time. So you can now go back to your folder that you renamed and copy the profile folder.

But its release on Steam in December 2019 qualified it for a place as a contender for Game of the Year 2020, even with younger games clamoring for the top spot.
yea it will be off sale by steam release to stick it to the 30% cut, when steam sales mean its sold enough then you get a steam sale on this game because steam then takes less cut. you lot might not like it, but its also clear developers dont like it either. Haha.
